  • Large mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 7 cups puffed wheat
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  • Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • To a large bowl, add puffed wheat and set aside.
  • To a medium saucepan, add brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and cocoa powder. Mix together and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla.
  • Pour over puffed wheat and stir to combine.
  • Press into the buttered baking dish. Cool completely before cutting.
