- 3 cups flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ½ cup butter melted
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
CINNA-BUN CAKE DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter a 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
Mix all of the “cake” ingredients together, EXCEPT the butter. Add the melted butter last, and then pour into the prepared baking dish.3 cups flour¼ teaspoon salt1 cup sugar4 teaspoons baking powder1 ½ cups milk2 eggs2 teaspoons vanilla½ cup butter
Mix all of the topping ingredients together in a separate bowl. Drop by teaspoonfuls over the cake batter base, evenly.1 cup butter1 cup brown sugar2 tablespoons flour1 tablespoon cinnamon
Using a butter knife swirl the topping into the base. Bake for 28-30 minutes.
While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze and set aside.2 cups powdered sugar5 tablespoons milk1 teaspoon vanilla1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
Remove from oven and glaze the cake while still warm.
Air Fryer Cinna-bun Cake
If you’d like to prepare this in your favorite air-fryer prepare it in a pan that fits your air fryer and cook at 320°F for 23-25 minutes. This is entirely dependent on your Air Fryer model. They just happen to be perfect size for our air fryer too!
You’ll Need 1 cup flour dash salt 1/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/3 c. + 1 Tbs + 1 1/4 teaspoons milk 1 egg 2/3 teaspoon vanilla 2 Tbs + 2 tsp butter, melted
1/3 cup butter, softened, but not melted 1/3 cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon
2/3 c. powdered sugar 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Cinna-bun Cake Directions
- Prepare an baking pan (buttered).
- Mix all of the “cake” ingredients together, except the butter. Add the melted butter last, and then transfer the batter to the buttered baking dish.
- Mix all of the topping ingredients together in a separate bowl. Drop by teaspoonfuls evenly over the cake batter base.
- Using a butter knife swirl the topping into the base. Bake for 23-26 minutes.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze and set aside. Remove from oven and glaze the cake while still warm.
