Air Fryer Cinna-bun Cake

Enjoy the delicious taste of Cinna bun cake! This warm, sweet treat is perfect for any occasion. With its moist and fluffy texture, coupled with a cinnamon-spiced flavor, Cinna bun  cake will have you coming back for more.

NGREDIENTS

CAKE INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ cup butter  melted

TOPPING:

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

GLAZE:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

    INSTRUCTIONS

    CINNA-BUN CAKE DIRECTIONS

    • Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter a 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
    • Mix all of the “cake” ingredients together, EXCEPT the butter. Add the melted butter last, and then pour into the prepared baking dish.

    • Mix all of the topping ingredients together in a separate bowl. Drop by teaspoonfuls over the cake batter base, evenly.

    • Using a butter knife swirl the topping into the base. Bake for 28-30 minutes.
    • While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze and set aside.
      2 cups powdered sugar5 tablespoons milk1 teaspoon vanilla1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
    • Remove from oven and glaze the cake while still warm.
    • NOTES

      Air Fryer Cinna-bun Cake

      If you’d like to prepare this in your favorite air-fryer prepare it in a pan that fits your air fryer and cook at 320°F for 23-25 minutes. This is entirely dependent on your Air Fryer model.  They just happen to be perfect size for our air fryer too!

      Cake Ingredients

      You’ll Need 1 cup flour dash salt 1/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/3 c. + 1 Tbs + 1 1/4 teaspoons milk 1 egg 2/3 teaspoon vanilla 2 Tbs + 2 tsp butter, melted

      Topping:

      1/3 cup butter, softened, but not melted 1/3 cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon

      Glaze:

      2/3 c. powdered sugar 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 tsp cinnamon

      Cinna-bun Cake Directions

      1. Prepare an baking pan (buttered).
      2. Mix all of the “cake” ingredients together, except the butter. Add the melted butter last, and then transfer the batter to the buttered baking dish.
      3. Mix all of the topping ingredients together in a separate bowl.  Drop by teaspoonfuls evenly over the cake batter base.
      4. Using a butter knife swirl the topping into the base. Bake for 23-26 minutes.
      5. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze and set aside. Remove from oven and glaze the cake while still warm.
