Thermomix Bounty Bars
Ingredients
Coconut Filling
- 250g desiccated coconut
- 200g sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
Chocolate Coating
- 300g milk or dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smooth coating)
Method (Thermomix)
Make the Coconut Filling
- Add condensed milk, vanilla, and salt to bowl.
Mix 10 sec / Speed 4 - Add desiccated coconut.
Mix 20 sec / Speed 4 - Scrape down sides and mix again if needed.
The mixture should be thick and sticky.
Shape the Bars
- Scoop out portions and shape into small logs (Bounty-style bars).
- Place on baking paper-lined tray.
- Freeze for 30–45 minutes until firm.
Melt the Chocolate
- Add chocolate to clean, dry bowl.
Chop 8 sec / Speed 8 - Add coconut oil (optional).
Melt 3–4 min / 50°C / Speed 2
Ensure chocolate is smooth.
Coat the Bars
- Dip frozen coconut bars into melted chocolate.
- Place back onto baking paper.
- Refrigerate 15–20 minutes until set.
Tips
- Use dark chocolate for a more authentic flavour.
- Store in fridge for up to 1 week.
- Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
- For a healthier twist, use sugar-free condensed milk and 85% dark chocolate.
