Here’s a delicious and easy Air Fryer Honey Chicken recipe — crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor!
🍯 Air Fryer Honey Chicken
🐔 Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 500g (1 lb) boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil (optional for crispiness)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Honey Sauce:
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup (or chili garlic sauce for heat)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (to thicken)
🌿 Toppings (optional):
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Chopped green onions
🔥 Instructions:
- Prep the Chicken:
- In a bowl, combine chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and oil.
- Toss well to coat each piece evenly.
- Air Fry the Chicken:
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes.
- Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
- Make the Honey Sauce:
- In a small pan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sesame oil, and garlic.
- Bring to a simmer on medium heat.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened (1–2 minutes).
- Toss & Serve:
- Add cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
